History of ear candles

Ear candling is an old practice. Parchment scrolls found in the Orient describe a procedure much like the one used today, and Egyptian and other ancient cultures, including the Hopi of North America, have described their own versions.

The practice may have developed alongside the domestication of the Asian and European honeybee. Beeswax in its pure form was, and still is, the main ingredient. Linen made from flax was the cloth used in ancient times; today, unbleached cotton muslin free of chemical additives is the material of choice.

Beeswaxearcandles.com uses only 100% pure American beeswax and 100% unbleached cotton muslin. We do not use paraffin, petro-chemicals, or the chemically enhanced fragrance oils the marketplace is saturated with. Only pure and natural ingredients go into our ear candles.

**Please note:** ear candles are not a medical device and should not be substituted for professional medical treatment. They are a simple, inexpensive home remedy sold for entertainment purposes, with no guaranteed results. Please use common sense and extreme caution, as there is fire involved. Children should never be allowed to perform the candling process. Beeswaxearcandles.com does not assume any liability for damage or misuse of this product.
